What I Do:
- Provide systems administration for Active Directory and various Windows based systems for TIS and other departments in IT
- Assist the Director in negotiating contracts with vendors.
- In conjunction with TIS staff, plan, design, implement, and maintain networked services and the security of the campus network infrastructure.
- Design, deployment, and lifecycle management of server, storage and network hardware across multiple building locations.
- Monitor, configure, optimize and maintain server virtualization.
- Ensure high availability, redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities for all physical infrastructure.
- Support business continuity planning and testing specific to data center facilities and hardware resilience.
- Collaborate with Facilities, architects, and contractors on technology designs for new and renovated buildings.
- Provide after-hours networking and telecommunications support in response to urgent and emergency problems.
